A Monsternado Tornado swept us to Winnie the Poo!
Monsternado. As you would expect, this film is about a monster tornado that sweeps creatures everyone believed to be mythical, dead, or never seen on land through the streets of - an American city. The locations in this film were what blew my mind the most; they were incredible! We first went to NHow Hotel in London and filmed in the Lobby, the corridors and hallways, and even the Penthouse Suite! The places films take you to are indescribable... They also bring about weird coincidences, such as meeting a childhood friend's mother at the location you're filming.
Set Dresser and Production Assistant were my roles on this film, and my favourite part of it was helping the AD to create callsheets. One day we ended up finishing four hours early after some finagling of the schedule on my part, and after that we moved locations so we were not actually able to film any more, leading to a short day on our part! Whoop! Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
What was also incredible was, our last day on shoot ended up being to help film some parts of Winnie the Poo horror. Darcy and I worked on some of the trailer and some stunts, which was incredible! Seeing something that you’ve helped on in cinema, knowing people across the world are watching your work, is an entirely new experience.
